The Northern Estate Agencies Group is one of the largest independent estate agency groups in the North of England, incorporating the brands Manning Stainton, Ryder & Dutton and Mortimers, with more than 40 locations across West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
The Group hosts an annual Pride Awards to recognise outstanding individual and team performance across the business. Events are held in different cities to reflect the regional brands within the Group, including Manchester and Leeds.
Working with the Pride Awards
Production Light & Sound has supported the Pride Awards across multiple years, delivering technical production for both the wider Northern Estate Agencies Group awards and the Manning Stainton awards in Leeds.
Recent events have included:
- Northern Estate Agencies Group Pride Awards in Manchester, supporting the Ryder & Dutton and Mortimers brands
- Manning Stainton Pride Awards in Leeds, celebrating teams across West Yorkshire
Each event was adapted to the venue and audience, while keeping the production approach consistent across both cities.
The challenge
Awards ceremonies run to a fixed schedule, with speeches, stings and award moments that rely on clear audio, dependable visuals and precise timing.
Key challenges included:
- Adapting production to different hotel venues and layouts
- Integrating staging, lighting, sound and video into existing spaces
- Supporting live speeches, awards presentations and video content
- Delivering a smooth experience from set-up through to the live event
What we did
Across the Manchester and Leeds events, Production Light and Sound provided full technical production, including:
- Staging and set build for live awards presentations
- Lighting design and supply to enhance the room and stage environment
- Sound systems for speeches, awards and audience coverage
- AV and video, including an 8m x 3m LED video wall used as a full stage backdrop
- Trussing and rigging to safely support lighting and video
- A full technical crew managing installation, rehearsals and live operation
In Leeds, the Manning Stainton Pride Awards were held at The Queens Hotel, using the venue’s Art Deco ballroom as the setting for the event.
In Manchester, the Northern Estate Agencies Group Pride Awards took place at Hilton Manchester Deansgate, delivering a consistent production standard in a different venue.
